sURREAL, DARK "COMEDY" ,4 episode BBC, budget   miniseries with Daniel Radcliffe playing a recently-graduated doctor come to a woods- isolated hospital out in middle of nowhere (in Smolensk Governorate ) during start of Russian  Revolution. 1912 or so.

Taken from short stories of Bulgatov, it is Kalfkaesque: It is always blizzard outside, it is half-a-day's ride to the nearest village (whose only shop opens only in August) and the peasant-patients arrive out of the blizzard with terrible maimings or difficult births , expecting to be cured with mere drops or garglings.

Being himself a big fan of Bulgatov, Radcliffe really wanted this role and it shows.

Pretty good.
