BLOODLANDS (2015, UK)

A young English couple buy an isolated Scottish farmhouse so as to get away from the city ratrace. The place is going dead-cheap. The realtor says to them that maybe its dead-cheap for Londoners, but folk around here can't afford it. Also its a very old  stone farmhouse that once was part of a fortress - indeed an important battle between the Scots and English was fought on these lands.
So, right off the bat you KNOW where this is going: Scots loons taking "revenge" on the innocent English couple.
The realtor tells them the former owner died and his eight sons could not hold on to the property ...and it had been an ugly scene all round.

EVERY move in this film can be foreseen - not that there is much plot ... just a lot of hiding and running.

Waste of my time.

Do we need YET ANOTHER version of Straw Dogs?

No. (But the Americans do. Let them choke on it. They like this sharn.)
