ABSOLUTION ('76, UK)

Post by Wallace on Sun Feb 14, 2016 10:25 pm

Not released till '88 in US. Maybe because of Burton's will.

Ive wanted to see this film cos its written by same writer wot did Wicker Man.

The power of the priest's confessional compels  father Burton to keep quiet about what he understands to be two murders  at his Catholic boys school. Two students are playing a cruel trick on him to see if he cracks. The end caught me by surprize.

THe bad thing about this film is that no persons of my colour  were in in. Same went for Wicker Man. That would make both films RACIST.

Heartbeat, Yorkshire tv series is also - in my book - notoriously racist.

How many episodes, 100?

And I can only remember one where they had a black chappie - and he was pictured as a  shady character.
