HORNS (2014)

Post by Wallace on Sun Apr 19, 2015 9:57 pm

The last movie had Frodo Baggins ibn it, this one has Harry Potter (Radcliffe).
Teenager finds horns growing out his head and that he then has the power to make everyone say what is truely on their mind and confess all manner of desires and evils. (So this is sorta reverse of that shit Jim Carey film)
So he makes use of this new power to figure out who murdered his girlfriend.

This movie is sorta like this:
imagine you are naked and slowly being lowered into a vat of collected Irish street-vagabond diarrhea.
There is a lighted candle melded to the top of your head.
The putrid diarrhea of filthy Irish is now up to your nostrils.
Your pupils begin to dilate.
It is now over your eyebrows and you are jerking yourself off violently because you KNOW it is only gonna get better. You KNOW that when your entire head is under the obnoxious Irishmen's diarrhea and the candle flame finally goes out, this is the signal for your body to be raised out the vile diarrhea and for you - nigh swooning in delight - to open your gob as picaninnys descend on golden wires and, farting the national anthem, piss straight into your mouth.

"Horns" is sorta like this.

Oh yeah - Radcliffe is fuck awful in his role.

However if you want to watch a TERRIBLY GOOD series where a man grows horns, watch derek Jacobi in Mervyn Peake's wonderous fantasy, "Mr Pye".

Or maybe read the Barth novel ,"Giles Goat Boy".

Forgot to say, beginning of the film panders to the manufactured fad of "vinyl comeback": our horned lad has a wall of records and the turntable needle is momentarily stressed.

Trouble is he is listening to some 90s bollox - Sisters of mercy??? Bowie too.

Okay then, I lied: Radcliffe's acting is alright. Its the story that is shoite.
