THE BISHOP'S WIFE (1947)

Innocent lite-fantasy/romance for Christmas time.
Today's assholes could learn from this film that simplicity  has its virtues.

Bishop (David Niven) sees his plans for erection of a new cathedral seemingly falling aparat, but fails to see how his bitterness is effecting his own marriage. Angel (Cary Grant) comes to his aid - but not so much with the cathedral (for, afterall, if you read the Bible, God doesnt think much of fancy houses of worship) but the marriage.

Delightful little film. Has the look/feel of "Its A Wonderful Life" (and indeed the boy actor who played the young George is in this).
