Not bad advise, but if it's only going to be stored for about 6 months, it's not critical. The least you should do is fill the tank with gas and add fuel stabilizer and drive around for 10 miles or so to work it through the system. Drain the old oil and add new oil and drive a few miles to circulate it.

Take the spark plugs out and add about a tsp. of oil in the cylinders to coat the walls. This helps prevent rusting.

Remove the battery and clean the terminals. Put the battery on trickle charge.

Drain the coolant and add new coolant.

Loosen drive belts to reduce pressure off pulley bearings.

There's more you should do, but those are the basics. You probably know this already.

Overkill for six months, but if it keeps him from stealing clients panties then well worth it.

It's not overkill at all. I used to that to my bikes that were stored for 4-5 months.

I would completely drain all the gas from the tank, lines, carburetors, etc. and put oil in the tank, shake it around to coat the sides, and store it that way. I'd also take off the drive chain and clean it with gasoline and a tooth brush, coat it with oil and hang it up on the garage rafters. I was as fussy as ole Peacock - the difference being, I would actually drive the things. Rain or shine, sometimes snow.

Rudy: just put a tinfoil cone-hat EXACTLY in the middle of the car's roof.

Your set for winter storage, son.

No rust guaranteed.

I would certainly do more if I had that kind of investment. There's all kinds of on-line advise for vehicle storage - heated garage or not. They all suggest doing more than just changing the oil. It's your car though. You know best.

Knobs is right I read that on the Internet.
Move to a warmer climate you can drive the bloody thing all year round.

Anyway getting a bit sick of that Stang starting to hate it.
Sell the bloody thing you do not use it you only worship it.
Join a church or something give the money to them instead maybe the worship there will do you some good.

You spend most of your time on your knees, wont hurt as much when you grovel before your maker instead of that fucking car, bozo.

Google "storing a vehicle" and check all the sites. They recommend a lot more than just changing oil.

Show me a site that says "just change oil" if you're storing a vehicle for 6 months.
